The Chanting Woods by M Romail Khan of class O' Levels final

The Chanting Woods

She appeared from out of the blue --- from the thick dark woods. With  her white gown ruined she walked until she reached the middle of the deserted highway road, Route 666. The dark night, the slowly heaving mist, the silence... was all maddening. The highway surrendering to the dark hardwood trees on both its sides that stretched on forever made Meredith feel like she was in a horror movie with whatever supernatural creature the movie was about, following her.
Fighting in the cool Midnight air, Meredith sprinted down the left on the highway, conscious of the fact that her judgment was clouded by her fear.

"I MUST HURRY, HE COULD BE ANYWHERE...!."  she thought right before she was struck dumb, her heart now pounding in her throat. The figure dressed in black was standing in front of her. A smirk on his outrageously handsome face.

"WHERE OFF TO PRINCESS?" thundered the words from his lips, which had Meredith’s gaze continually locked upon. In a moment, these lips reached down  gently onto her neck, the back hair of which were standing, and she noticed her lips part involuntarily

She felt the two sharp, white fangs, sharp as diamonds, emerge from the predator's mouth, and inject into the Aorta where the lips were still placed. Blood, sweet as nectar, started flowing into his mouth. Meredith let out a soundless scream. Then with a flick of a moment, she cracked open her eyes

"DON'T WORRY, IT WAS ALL A DREAM" echoed a soft, loving voice. It was Susan’s, her elder sister who was sitting beside Meredith in her bed, busy comforting her.
